It's been a while since I closed the eshop, and I haven't posted any new paintings on Instagram... it's time to share some news with you.

In September both my kids will be in school and kindergarten, my maternity leave is ending, and I'm facing an important decision. I feel a bit like Pocahontas, standing at that choice – take the easier, straightforward path, or take the risk, follow her heart, and choose the winding, unpredictable one.

For me it's similar. Either I find a job at a company, a stable and regular income, but at the cost of no longer having time for painting and creating alongside the kids and household. Or I go for it fully, give myself a trial year, more time for creating, and see what happens. If I don't give myself that chance now, it'll probably have to wait until retirement :D

So if it's still not clear from the text – I'm going for it. In August I'm registering as self-employed.

And if you thought I haven't painted all this time, let me set the record straight :) I've been working intensely on something this whole time, which I hope to be able to show you soon – and I really hope you'll love it, there are so many hours of painting behind it.

One more piece of news – I've started learning ceramics :) I always wanted to try it, so I completed an intensive course, bought a kiln, and in the future ceramics will become a full part of my creative work. I'm most excited about the mugs :)
